Terms of Use for the Kaikukortti
The Kaikukortti is renewed at the service point where it was originally issued.
The Kaikukortti is personal. It may not be given or lent to anyone else.
When using the Kaikukortti, you must bring an identity document, a driver’s license, or a passport, as the Kaikukortti location has the right to verify the identity of the Kaikukortti user.
The Kaikukortti can be used throughout Finland in municipalities participating in the Kaikukortti program.
The Kaikukortti information is stored in the Kaikukortti register, known as Kaikukanta. Background information about the Kaikukortti user is recorded in Kaikukanta, with the mandatory details being the user’s year of birth, the postal code of their place of residence, and the number of their own (or cohabiting) minor children or grandchildren.
If the details on the physical Kaikukortti, such as the expiration date or the number of your under-18-year-old children or grandchildren, differ from those in Kaikukanta, the Kaikukortti location will follow the information recorded in Kaikukanta. If your information changes, please contact the issuer of your Kaikukortti.

To ensure availability, check with the Kaikukortti location what services are accessible with the Kaikukortti, as cultural or sports organizations may impose restrictions on services provided with the card.
You can request the Kaikukortti distributor (registrar) to activate an OmaKaiku account for you, allowing you to view your card usage history, for example. If your OmaKaiku account has been activated, you can log in to the OmaKaiku website at https://omakaiku.fi. Enter your email address in the login window, and you will receive a login link via email. As an OmaKaiku account holder, you can also download a mobile Kaikukortti from the Google Play or Apple Store app stores. Creating an OmaKaiku account and using the mobile Kaikukortti requires storing your first and last name, personal email address, phone number, and place of residence in the OmaKaiku system.
OmaKaiku and the mobile Kaikukortti may not display all the services available with the Kaikukortti. Each Kaikukortti location decides what information they display about themselves. Check your municipality’s or wellbeing service county’s website for more detailed information about the Kaikukortti.
